great machine (with issues), January 6, 2012 By sirweldsalot (don't worry about it.) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dell Latitude E4300 13.3" Laptop (Intel Core 2 DUO 2.26Ghz, 160GB Hard Drive, 2048Mb RAM, DVDRW Drive, XP Pro) (Electronics) i bought one of these here and i had problems with it freezing up at first. i knew it wasn't the o.s. because it happened with xp and linux and it was not getting hot.
after doing some research i found that there was a motherboard issue with them that might be fixed with a bios upgrade.
i updated the bios and after over a month of heavy use with linux it will not freeze. it works great but i haven't tried windows on it but i don't think i'll have any issues.
if you buy one-you might want to ask if the bios has been upgraded if you don't want fiddle with it yourself.
